Van Ooijen Transport and Freshgard Warehousing join the partnership of Jan Deckers Jan de Waal and Deij Transport.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\nLast week, Van Ooijen Transport and Freshgard Warehousing in Barendrecht joined the strategic partnership of Jan de Waal (based in Bleiswijk), Jan Deckers (based in Ammerzoden) and Deij Transport (based in Geldermalsen).<\/span><\/span> This partnership is aimed at further strengthening their positions in the flower, plant, vegetable and fruit sector, whereby the companies involved make use of each other’s expertise and economies of scale.<\/span><\/span> By joining forces, the parties can respond even better to the needs of the market and serve their customers even more efficiently.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n

All collaborating parties individually have their own specialism and continue to operate independently alongside each other.<\/span><\/span> The partnership ensures a greater reach of the network, both nationally and internationally, and contributes to further professionalization of the services.<\/span><\/span> Thanks to the partnership, more than 175 conditioned trucks are available every day to serve customers quickly and reliably.<\/span><\/span> Van Ooijen Transport and sister company Freshgard jointly provide the entire logistics process in the fruit and vegetable chain.<\/span><\/span> Van Ooijen Transport is responsible for the daily transport of approximately 25 truck combinations between the fruit and vegetable auctions in the Westland and various destinations in Belgium.<\/span><\/span> The head office is located in Barendrecht, where Freshgard’s 6,000 m\u00b2 conditioned warehouse is also located.<\/span><\/span> This warehouse is equipped with twelve loading and unloading docks, a spacious cross-dock floor and modern warehouse facilities with eight temperature zones for conditioned storage.<\/span><\/span> Freshgard specialises in warehousing and co-packing, including the storage, management and distribution of fresh products.<\/span><\/span> The company also has a customs warehouse type C permit and is an approved KCB inspection location.<\/span><\/span> The strategic partnership further strengthens the network between the Westland and Belgium and Van Ooijen Transport can now offer trips to destinations served by the other collaborating companies.<\/span><\/span> With this, Van Ooijen Transport and Freshgard are taking an important step in the future-proofing of their logistics services.<\/span><\/span> Van Ooijen Transport and Freshgard, like the other family businesses involved, will continue to operate independently under their own name, house style and identity.<\/span><\/span> The collaboration will not affect the staff or management of the companies.<\/span><\/span> Nothing will change for the customers either;<\/span><\/span> they will remain customers of the organization where they currently purchase their services.<\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n
